C# .NET - What is Server Based Development in c#.net

Can somebody help me on what is "server based development" in c#.net. kindly explain and direct me some
web tutorial.

Server Based Development here means Asp.net. Because Asp.net application runs on server and renders the output in client browser using Request and Response Model.

Thanks a lot for your response, actually it is not connecting with web application so ASP.Net is not the expected answer. I believe the exact answer is somethingelse. If you have anyother clue please share
