I downloaded a font our designer wants to use on a web site and installed it.  The system tells me the font is installed and it does appear in intellisense in my css file but it looks weak on the screen and prints bad too.

I seem to remember some one telling me at one time that some fonts just don't do well on the web but I can't find anything about it.

Is there any truth to this?

The font is Walkway.

PS - Do some companies just put out bad fonts?  Are free font sometimes bad?

I am seeing stuff about desktop vs web fonts.  How can I tell if a font is intended for the web?

Are you intending to have your visitors download this font as well?

html5 has enhanced support for fonts but not all of your users will have this capability in their browser.
